Night Owl Optics NV20 Monocular

Night Owl Optics NV20 Monocular

This versatile monocular can be used 24/7 without compromise. When ambient light-levels prohibit clear detailed viewing, simply adjust the variable frame rate to enhance the light-gathering abilities of the monocular. The integral IR illuminator features a smart-circuit that automatically adjusts to accommodate ambient lighting conditions.

I had been waiting on this unit from Night Owl for a long time, delivery date was pushed back as they wanted to make sure it was everything it was supposed to be before it was released to the public. Well Night Owl, you not only did that but you passed anything we could have expected! This is one.

I have a friend who is in the military that allowed me to use a pair of ATN 3rd gen night vision and i thought they were great, when i first heard the claims of the Igen from night owl and the price i did not believe there claims,After purchasing the Igen i put them to the test next to the ATN 3rd.

Bushnell 26-0542 Monocular

Bushnell 26-0542 Monocular

A CMOS based imaging system is the heart of the Bushnell Digital StealthView™ 5x42 night vision monocular, resulting in an imaging system that rivals 2nd generation plus intensifier tube based NVDs. Night becomes day with a flip of a switch, never again will the time of day dictate your hours of operation. With the powerful infrared spotlight, you can see further in the darkest of environments, yet remain unseen. For night fishing, surveillance, or search and rescue missions, this Bushnell NVD is a perfect choice.

This monocular isn't really a light amplifying device like an image intensifier. It is essentially a B&W low-light CMOS camera, like you might find in a video security system, with an LCD display viewfinder and two infrared (IR) illuminators. Like most CMOS cameras, it is sensitive to near IR

I sell nightvision and for a while the biggest problem was ensuring the customer wasn't expecting to own what he saw in the last action movie he went to see.

I bought these, as 1st generation light intensification (LI) commonly available has many problems. Succeeding generations of LI are incredibly expensive or not available to Canadians. I want to step outside my house or tent and observe dark areas for lurkers or other beasts.
This is.

This WEB site should really do a better job screening the people who write reviews. Now tell me why YOU count too many words to allow it to post? It is quite obvious who is the consumer that is sharing their personal experience (and disappointments)with this equipment, and who

Firstly, I should start with the fact I wasn't out to buy a night vision device for novelty purposes. We have a neighborhood stalker/peeper that warrants the occasional glance in the darkness. This being said, the mood is set that I was not happy that the money was to be spent on this to begin.

This is a true "2nd Generation" night vision (NV) device. Please see my entry below regarding generations of night vision equipment. The MO4-2 is a spotting scope (monocular) that amplifies existing light in dark conditions, allowing the user to see. The scope measures 7.5 inches long, 2.5 in wide

ATN Viper Goggles

ATN Viper Goggles

This high resolution 1st Gen.+ night vision unit comes with 1x magnification, but has the option of being 4x or 8x. Surprisingly, even though we gave the Viper a heavy coated glass lens, we were still able to keep its weight down to only nine ounces. So for any activity you plan on doing which requires night vision and hands free operation, the Viper delivers superior results.

Product Review

Bought one of these and alright at close range but no good at further than 15 yards. Then when it stopped working a while still under warranty they refused to honour it.

I bought the ATN night vision goggle system as a second pair so when my son is out with me he can use them. He is still young so they are a great first goggle system for him to start out with. They are compact and light so he can carry them in his pocket or backpack without any added weight.

I have had a month or so to test this so I could give a review. This little item is remarkable. Clarity is superb. Under normal night time conditions of no moon to full moon I am able to see 75 yards easily. The illuminator is not worth having( single led), it seems to light up maybe 10-20 yards.
